The Vermont River Conservancy - The VRC works to purchase and conserve Vermont's precious waterfalls and gorges, swimming holes, riparian areas, paddling and fishing sites to ensure that they remain accessible and free from development. Since 1996, the VRC has been protecting exceptional water-related places, protecting them forever for those who follow in our footsteps to enjoy.
Vemont Basin Planning Process - Basin planning is an ongoing process. It is designed to be compatible with the Vermont Water Quality Standards and other applicable state and federal laws. The term "basin" refers to the 17 major river basins which cover the State of Vermont. The term "watershed" refers to any drainage which may be larger, smaller or synonymous with these 17 hydrologic units.

National Association of Conservation Districts - The non-governmental, nonprofit organization that represents nearly 3,000 conservation districts across the nation. NACD was founded by districts and their state associations in 1946, following the Dust Bowl crisis and the creation of a nationwide conservation district system. NACD is financed primarily through the voluntary contributions of its member districts and state associations.
