The Basin Runner Campaign is an educational program to raise awareness of environmental issues in the Winooski River Basin. Over the course of the year, the Winooski Natural Resources Conservation District will hold a series of community runs in select cities and towns throughout the watershed. At each of these runs, participants will have the opportunity to learn a little bit more about the District and also their surrounding environment.  It's a great reason to get outside and enjoy the watershed.  Hopefully we'll see you soon!   

How long are the runs?
Our runs will range anywhere from three to six miles at a slow to moderate pace.  They are meant to be accessible for all ages and abilities.

Do I have to sign up?
No sign up is needed although it would be great if you let us know that you are planning on attending.

Is it free?
We are happy to offer this program free of charge although we hope that you will consider supporting it.  It's one of the ways we're working to connect people with the watershed. 

Will you be hosting a run in my town?
Although we are planning a number of runs throughout the year, it’s unlikely that we’ll be able to plan an event in each and every town. However, if you have a great idea for a run, let us know and we’ll try to make it happen.
