Abbey Willard began as Winooski Natural Resources Conservation District Manager three years ago. She manages watershed stewardship projects, technical staff for agricultural producers, educational opportunities for youth and the community, as well as the day to day function of the District and its employees. Though she grew up in Peacham, VT, Abbey previously lived and worked in Bozeman, Montana and graduated from Montana State University’s Soils & Environmental Science Program. Abbey currently lives in Randolph Center. |

Tiffany Shaw, Natural Resources Conservationist | ||

Tiffany Shaw has been with Winooski NRCD since October 2005. She is partnering with local municipalities and other non-profits to implement stormwater projects, primarily in the Allen Brook and Potash Brook watersheds. Her projects range from rain garden installation to streambank stabilization. Tiffany graduated from the University of Vermont's Environmental Program in the spring of 2005. While at UVM, she worked for the UVM Environmental Council and the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission. Tiffany currently lives in Burlington with her husband Josh. |

Andrea Tursini joined the Winooski NRCD Staff in January 2005. She split her time between assisting farmers in writing their Land Treatment Plans and in helping them adhere to the State of Vermont’s Accepted Agricultural Practices. In January 2006, she began to focus exclusively on writing Land Treatment Plans for the Lower Lamoille and Lower Winooski watersheds. Previously, she managed a 6-acre organic vegetable farm in Cambridge, VT. Andrea graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Environmental Studies. She lives in Underhill Center with her husband Ralph. |

Cherie Staples, Bookkeeper | ||

Cherie spent eleven years with the Vermont Land Trust, after six years at Vermont Natural Resources Council, and then moved to Colorado for six years, where she helped care for her first granddaughter and then managed the Denver office of The Wilderness Society. Along the way, a camera has been a steady companion and she has quite a raft of photos. Returning to Vermont in 2003, she's become a part-time bookkeeper for several businesses in the central Vermont area. She is a member of the Onion River Chorus and sings in the Old Meeting House Choir, and participates on three East Montpelier community committees. Cherie has two children and three grandchildren. |
