If you are planning to work with a farmer or landowner, there are several issues to consider before you enter into an agreement to create a successful working relationship with your neighbor. Land link Vermont has put together a Farmland Use Agreement fact sheet to provide you with some of the basics involved with putting together an effective with which you and your neighbor are happy.
Considerations for the farmer include the land, its productivity, size, distance from the farmer and for the landowner the type of farming that will be done, fertilizers, pesticides, dust, noise or smell that may be associated with farming.
