Locally Led Conservation Surveys

Natural Resources Conservation Districts (NRCDs) have annual surveys for residents and land stewards to share their concerns and priorities for future conservation projects. The feedback collected will be taken into account to help shape future conservation funding decisions to prioritize local needs.

These surveys helped Districts secure federal USDA NRCS funding for identified priority natural resource concerns in Conservation Districts. In FY 2026, $4.4 million was secured across Vermont through the locally led process.
