Last month, the Vermont Agricultural Water Quality Partnership (VAWQP) Southwest (pictured above) and Southeast regions convened for regional coordination meetings. The purpose of regional coordination services is to support the mission and strategic plan of VAWQP at the local level. This coordination encourages information sharing, collaboration and coordination among technical and financial assistance providers in order to help farmers achieve measurable water quality results and protect habitat in the most high-quality, cost-effective and positive way possible. Attendees included staff from the local conservation districts, NRCS, Vermont DEC, Vermont Land Trust, the US Forest Service, and other partners.
