Windham County NRCD celebrated another year of conservation efforts with partners and community members at Scott Farm Orchard in Dummerston for their 2nd Annual Gathering. District Manager, Cory Ross, gave a presentation of this year’s conservation and farm assistance numbers and project highlights. One major project of the year was the stormwater gully restoration and erosion mitigation project at Dummerston bridge. People gathered at the site earlier in the afternoon to see the new timber infiltration steps that had been installed there.

The event also included a talk from Dr. Vern Grubinger, UVM’s vegetable and berry specialist. Followed by questions from the audience about the future of agriculture in Vermont.
