This month, Conservation District and VACD staff gathered at the statehouse for our 2026 advocacy day. They connected with legislators to support our Fiscal Year 2027 budget request of $948,200 and discuss the work of Conservation Districts. This included testimony in House and Senate Committees.
Kelly Stettner, District Manager for Ottauquechee NRCD set up a stream table in the Lt. Governor’s Office (pictured above). She shared with legislators and members of the public how streams affect our environment. A huge thank you to Lt. Governor John Rodgers for allowing us to use the space.
